Our Mission
Rock Family Church is excited to partner with families as they raise kids that learn to love God, connect with others, and contribute to changing the world! We are committed to teaching God’s Word to kids in a captivating and creative way while feeling valued and loved.
“Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
Rock Kids (1st – 6th Grade)
At Rock Family Church we embrace children as an important part of our church body. We offer a place where kids from 1st through 6th grade can discover and develop a passion for God through worship, teaching and a variety of fun activities while learning about God’s Word and being challenged to grow in their relationship with Him.
These classes are held in the Kid’s Auditorium which is just outside the main service. We start with a group game while everyone is arriving, then go right into praise and worship, our memory verse and lesson. Then we divide up into smaller age-based groups for discussion and team-building games.
Rock Family Church’s children’s services are fully staffed by adults who are committed to teaching and ministering to children. You can be confident that your child is having a great time learning about God while you worship!
What To Expect On Sunday Mornings
Just inside the lobby you will see our check-in system. One of our friendly check-in staff will greet you and your kid(s) and check them into class using our secure, computerized check-in system. We will print a customized nametag just for them and give you a claim ticket authorizing only you to pick them up. Please let us know during check-in if your child has any allergies or special needs. Please note that for the safety of your children you MUST show the ticket when you pick up your children.
You will escort your kids to the Rock Kid’s Auditorium and meet the trained, loving staff who absolutely loves kids! You can then head to the main service to enjoy the worship and teaching.
If your child needs you during service, a number will appear on the top right-hand side of the screen on stage. Each family will have one number, so in case you have multiple children the first half will indicate which child needs you. For instance NUR-Z4F would be Nursery, PRE-Z4F would be Preschool, RK-Z4F would be Rock Kids.
At the end of service you will pick them up in the same spot you dropped them off.
To ensure the health of children and volunteers, we ask that sick children not attend Rock Kids.
Everyone who works with our youth and children at Rock Family Church has passed a thorough background check. Safety is important to us.|
Where Does Kindergarten Go?
Since this is often a very transitional year, we allow you and your child to choose if your Kindergartener would prefer to be in Preschool or go to Rock Kids.
Many times we see them staying in Preschool until January and then trying Rock Kids after they are more accustomed to being in a classroom and playing large group games.
There are so many factors including birth order, personality, and maturity which make up this decision and there is no one better than you to decide.
Can My 6th Grader Attend Rock Kids?
Some 6th graders feel more comfortable coming to Rock Kids rather than heading to The District (RFC Youth Ministry) on Wednesday evenings. Again, we leave this decision up to you.
Sixth graders should feel free to come to Rock Kids (lots of 6th graders do) and/or The District-your choice.
